![]() We opened with an app of mussels which we really enjoyed. A plus to begin with, the tables had white tablecloths on them, something we have not seen in the covid era, so a good start for us. The food put it all together making it a great restaurant to go to. We were okay with it in the giant scheme of things, we like different. We walk into the restaurant through a door upon our arrival, but we we are told we have to go back outside to the window. Okay so we went the Muse for dinner while in Charleston. It just seems a little rundown, but their food and service was very good. The place seemed popular, and I liked that it was a little off the beaten path. It was very good.Īll in all, a good experience. She then brought us out a slice of the house cheesecake, which we did not need but the gesture was appreciated. When our server came over with our check, we told her about the dessert, which she apologized for (not her fault). My sister ate what she could, because we hate wasting food. But when we tried it, it was SO TART it was basically inedible. We ordered the Pomegranate Trifle, which sounded really fresh and good on the menu. We decided to go halfsies on the dessert. For our meals, I got the scallop dish and my sister had the crusted fresh fish special. We had the cheese board as an appetizer, and the fresh bread was also very yummy with the cheese. Our server was knowledgeable and friendly, and gave a great recommendation for wine that paired well with our entrees. Putting all that behind me, everything else was wonderful. The bathroom has definitely seen better days, plus there was so soap and instead it was hand sanitizer that looked. The inside was unique, maybe seemed a little worn down. They were able to seat us early, so that got a plus in my book. I try and many others and they are all bad and expensive, like Muse. If you want to eat some fish the only place I recommended is Hank?. ![]() Food restaurants in Destin are terrible, be expensive, just for tourists and visitors that they don’t know and will pay anything. Therefore, like all restaurants and some hotels in Charleston, this was a one-time experience, no more. The lamb cost $40 and the fish about the same. We concluded that either this was a rip off or/and this was not even Seabass, but some other type of chip and bad fish. We complained and they gave us a replacement exactly the same. They served the tail portion of it, full of skin and bones, and basically nothing else to eat. The lamb was chewy, hard to even cut, very bad meat. My husband and I ordered lamb chops and chili and Seabass. And there was a reason for it, the food was. Thursday is there was not enough lights to even read the menu, much less to see the food on the plate. A beautiful old house of three floors beautifully decorated.īut.
